We are a feminist and human rights organization seeking reproductive justice. For over 30 years, we have worked to ensure that women and persons with the capacity to become pregnant can fully exercise their reproductive rights. We are proud to be a central part of the transformation in Mexico regarding abortion, reproductive health, and work-life balance.

It shows how penal regulation reinforces structural violence and the persecution of those who seek abortions, while also maintaining an unjustified intrusion into their life plans.

This publication, the result of a collaboration between GIRE and Impunidad Cero, seeks to highlight the connection between impunity and access to justice for survivors of obstetric violence and maternal death in Mexico.
It includes recommendations addressed to the responsible authorities.
