This document presents the results of a workshop convened by GIRE, IIJ-UNAM, and the University of Oxford and facilitated by Colmena Consultoras, in which healthcare professionals addressed the scope and challenges of obstetric violence, as well as strategies to prevent and eliminate it.

This report synthesizes statistical, testimonial, and qualitative evidence and provides recommendations for addressing obstetric violence from a structural perspective. It was prepared by GIRE, the University of Oxford’s Uehiro Institute, and UNAM’s Institute for Legal Research.
